Mission: The Forgotten Arm
Location: Eros Station

She finally did it... she was thrown out of the MCRN and disowned by her family. She fulfilled the prophecy of her father who had barely spoken to her since she lost her commission and was forced to become an NCO. Now she was dishonorably discharged and had been dumped off on the nearest station. Luckily it was Eros which wasn't the worst option out there. She had checked herself into a hotel aboard thankfully still having access to the secret fund her grandmother set up for her when the trouble started in her life. She told her to save it for an emergency and suddenly being homeless, jobless, and futureless in the middle of space seemed like an emergency.

She lay on the bed in the hotel room, nothing special, she didn't want to toss money away on having an extravagant room even if she thought she probably deserved it. She had only her personal effects from the ship leaving her uniforms behind. None of the civilian clothes she packed was anything special. She figured that she'd have to make a shopping spree and so she had her new clothes packed into her luggage which now included two additional bags than the single one from the MCRN vessel that tossed her out the airlock, literally.

She turned to the side and smiled at the locks of freshly green hair down and not up in a tight bun. The natural curls to her hair were also present something she normally straightened before going on duty. At least she still had her medical credentials for those who'd accept them from mars. She wondered what the odds of finding a medical school to take her would be now. She mentally kicked herself for destroying her life and for what? Love? Maybe she wasn't even in love both of those times maybe she was just stupid... maybe she wasn't? Did she even want to be a doctor? Maybe she'd be happier just being a housewife on Earth...

"Earth?" she said out loud surprised the thought even entered her mind. She laughed, "yeah right."

What she did know was it was time to go out and get hammered.
